The SPC has approximately 51 members many of whom actively train for and shoot competitions at the local, state and interstate events. Shooting is a sport that does not present a barrier to anyone who wishes.
The SPC is a sub-club of the SSAA(Vic) and is affiliated with the Victorian Amateur Pistol Association Inc. which in turn is affiliated with Pistol Australia Inc. Through the Pistol Australia affiliation, SPC has association with Australian International Shooting Limited (AISL) and thus there is a path to international events such as Commonwealth and Olympic Games. Shooting is a sport that does not present a barrier to anyone who wishes to get involved – neither age, physical ability nor gender are barriers to enjoying the sport of pistol shooting. It does require a high degree of self-discipline, attention to detail and willingness to learn if you are to progress to high levels of performance.
But it is also a great pass-time for those who have less time to practice.
